With the backbone teachers of the School of Marxism of Chang'an University as the main body,Research Center for Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics of Chang'an University was established on the basis of integrating the Shaanxi Provincial Key Research Base of Philosophy and Social Sciences "Shaanxi Cultural Industry Collaborative Innovation Research Center", Chang'an University Key Research Center "Marxist Theory Research Center", and "Western Social Governance and Political Civilization Research Center".

The team members cover Marxist theory, philosophy, theoretical economics, political science, law, sociology, cultural studies, history and ecology and other disciplines, forming a diverse and intersecting disciplinary ecology, laying a solid foundation for future theoretical and practical research a solid foundation. In addition, the group presided over nearly 100 national, provincial and ministerial-level funded projects, and published more than 60 theoretical articles in "two newspapers and one journal" and domestic authoritative journals; at the same time, the group also actively served local economic and social development, and contributed to the development of Shaanxi Province.
