On October 26, 2021, Feng Qiushi, associate professor of the Department of Sociology, National University of Singapore, was invited to give a special academic report on "Population Aging in China: Challenge and Strategy". This report was presided over by Guo Yunzhu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism.
Hosted by Guo Yunzhu
Shang Zijuan made an introduction
Combining his academic research field, Professor Feng Qiushi first reviewed the main characteristics of China's population aging in the report, and then focused on the policy strategies that the Chinese government may adopt to face this challenge - actively responding to population aging. This report selects two main public policies at the national level to explore, namely "rural revitalization" and "toilet revolution". Through simulation data simulation prediction and field investigation, scientific policy analysis and empirical analysis are used to show everyone the huge scope and content of social governance involved in expanding China's rural revitalization and toilet reform policies by introducing a population perspective.
Subsequently, Shang Zijuan made a brief summary of the report. She believes that this report shows the huge potential of China's policy implementation and implementation in the process of rural governance, and provides a good theoretical basis and policy suggestions for China in rural governance.
Finally, Guo Yunzhu spoke highly of Professor Feng Qiushi's wonderful explanation and expressed her sincere thanks to Professor Feng again. This lecture not only improved the breadth of our thinking, but also cultivated the international thinking and international awareness of teachers and students, which has important guiding significance for the research on the Sinicization of Marxism in our school.
