Collaborations
To further enhance international academic exchange, the School of Marxism held a series of academic salons on "Hot Topics in Global Ecological Environment and Social Development" on November 18, 2024, in a multimedia classroom in District 4 of the main campus. International doctoral students from the "Environment and Social Development" program at the School of Marxism participated in this international doctoral academic exchange salon. The salon was hosted by Professor Zhou Yuqin of the School of Marxism.
Themed "Environment and Society for Green Development," the academic salon invited international doctoral students KEISHE HUFFSTELLER BORLAY, MUHAMMAD AMMAR SHAHID, RAFID ULLAH KHAN, HOUDA CHOUARFA, and FAIQUL HAZMI to present and share their academic work. Their respective presentation titles were "Public Perceptions of ‘Green Development’ and its Social Impacts: A Comparative Study of University Students in China and Liberia," "Inducing Environmental Ethics in Young Learners at Early Educational Careers in Metropolitan Cities," "Does the Environment Affect Gender Imbalance?," "The Current State of Indonesia's Ecological Environment and Social Development Issues," and "The Current State of Morocco's Ecological Environment and Social Development Issues."
This international academic exchange salon closely focused on international hot-button issues such as the global ecological environment, environmental protection and social development, smart cities, sustainable consumption, and green development. The international doctoral students applied concepts like Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization to explain the principles of environmental ecology and the current state of international cooperation within contemporary global social issues. This event has further expanded and enriched the methods for cultivating postgraduate talent at the School. It holds significant importance for further enriching and improving the construction of the School's "Environment and Social Development" doctoral program and for broadening the international perspective of its talent cultivation.
