Speaker's Bio:
Gao Quanxi, a renowned scholar, currently serves as a Distinguished Chair Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Ke Yuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has previously held positions as a professor at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Director of the of Humanities and Social Sciences at Beihang University, and the Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Law School. From 1985 to 1988 he studied underMr. He Lin, focusing on German philosophy and the history of political thought, earning his doctoral degree. His representative works include "Western Modern Political Thought, "Ten Lectures on Scottish Moral Philosophy," "On the Legal Rights of Mutual Recognition - Two Essays on 'The Phenomenology of Spirit,'" "B Principle and Heart - Zhu Xi and Lu Xiangshan's Neo-Confucianism," "Legal Order and Free Justice - Hayek's Legal Constitutional Thoughts," "Hume'sPolitical Philosophy," and "Shakespeare's Historical Plays and the British Monarchy."
